Nice. One thing social conservatives should try is to agree upon one state, maybe two on opposite sides of the Union, to serve as "gay marriage Meccas." Sacrifice a few bastions of Godless Liberals, like Massachusetts and California say, and save the rest of the country for us 98%. After all, as a great many Republicans have told us over the last several years, if we don't [let them get their gay marriage on] over there, they're going to be bringing [commitments of love between two human beings] over here. And after the events of Sept. 11th, our course is obvious, no?
