The Rams Won the Super Bowl / Bought Myself a Ring
I was looking forward to the years-running gag that would have happened if Rush became part owner of the St. Louis Rams. You know, free agents ignoring the team, draft picks refusing to be drafted by them, opponents hyping up taking it Rush's team, etc. Oh well. This moment is pretty good too; a point when a man who makes tens of millions of dollars a year by employing incendiary rhetoric actually encounters a drawback to being a huge prick for all the nation to hear. It's amazing. Conservatives could probably learn from this, as it's not the case that their guy is being attacked by their political opponents like earlier this year, which is to be expected, but rather from an organization that wants to appeal to as many people as it can (something the GOP also ought to try, but whatever) that has decided Rush is too unsavory to be acceptable. But, predictably, movement conservatives, in lieu of introspection, are attacking the librul media and all the libruls who did this that and the other. And the beat goes on, you know?
