I Never Lied to the People, Not One Time
Reading this editorial on the Senate torture report, it's funny - in a not at all funny way - how little weight the simple issue of legality has with those who still defend American Torture. Presumably these laws are there for a reason. But the ticking-time-bomb set doesn't even argue that we should change the laws, they just argue that in certain instances the laws should be broken. All of this bespeaks a very peculiar notion of jurisprudence, but hey, they're Arabs and we're not, so stop being such a pussy, turn up the NIN, and pass me that hose.
