I Never Lied to the People, Not One Time

Reading this editorial on the Senate torture report, it's funny - in a not at all funny way - how little weight the simple issue of legality has with those who still defend American Torture.  Presumably these laws are there for a reason.  But the ticking-time-bomb set doesn't even argue that we should change the laws, they just argue that in certain instances the laws should be broken.  All of this bespeaks a very peculiar notion of jurisprudence, but hey, they're Arabs and we're not, so stop being such a pussy, turn up the NIN, and pass me that hose.

Seriously though. We used to call them war criminals. Today we call them 'sir.'  This was done in our name and we will bear the consequence.
