Label Me Greedy Gettin Green, But Seldom Seen

I read the following on National Review's The Corner: Surveys find that the public would still buy cars from a company in Chapter 11. That takes away one of the automakers' strongest arguments for why Washington should help them avoid Chapter 11.

Sounds both counterintuitive and damaging to Detroit's case.  Maybe its because the only people really stuck on American cars are the buy-American set, and they'll want to help Detroit even more once GM and Chrysler go bankrupt. My interest piqued, I click forward to an article whose subtitle is "Consumers Will Consider Buying as Long as the Government is Helping Firm to Restructure, Surveys Suggest."  It seems the National Review has an unorthodox conception of what the word "help" means. They also struggle, apparently, with the meaning of the term "argument." And these people are professionals! They're actually paid to misunderstand the world around them and then blast their idiocy all about them.
