Sensitive Thugs, Ya'll Need Hugs

Scott Johnson, being a douche:

Pillar's lament is consistent with the view of Freeman et al. that a shadowy Israel (i.e., Jewish) Lobby controls the government of the United States.
It seems like he's willfully misrepresenting an argument, but why would anyone do that? Its actually a bit infuriating, if one doesn't view it as painfully comical, the way these people, in measured tones, sum up the argument that some Americans who really like Israel try and get America to do things they think will be beneficial to Israel, thusly: "They think the Jews control the government."

By definition, a lobby cannot control a government, but whatever. The above would be analogous to saying shadowy Cubans run the government, but you can't misrepresent and counter-accuse others of anti-semitism if you said that. And what is up with these guys just throwing "i.e., Jewish" into the middle of the summation of their opponents arguments? "Oh, just so you know, we're talking about TEH JEWS here. Yeah."
