The worst part of being unemployed with unemployment in the news is that everybody you hear talking about it - the news anchors, the politicians, the pundits - has a job. Let me get my news about how shitty the economy is from people who've been laid off or can't get hired, at least.

Why grad school? Cuz we get paid in this economy (admittedly it ain't shit, but whatevs) and it keeps us out of the job market until the economy can "correct" itself.
